TARQUIN NESBITT-FOSTER

Tarquin was called to the Bar in October 2025, after eight years’ experience as a solicitor.  He practises in all Commonwealth and State Courts, primarily in N.S.W. and Queensland, maintaining a broad practice, including in planning, environmental, energy and resources, local government, Native Title, and administrative law.
 
Before being called to the Bar, Tarquin worked in Sydney for two national firms, and for a specialist boutique in all aspects of administrative, development, planning, and local government law, acting for a range of clients, including development proponents, the New South Wales State Government, and local councils.
 
The first five years of Tarquin’s legal career were spent in Brisbane acting for Queensland State Government agencies in administrative law, Native Title, environmental prosecutions, and other public law litigation.  Before admission as a solicitor, he worked for a retired High Court judge. 
 
Before reading laws at university, Tarquin served in the Royal Australian Air Force.  He continues to render service as an officer in the Army Reserve.
