TARQUIN NESBITT-FOSTER

Tarquin was called to the Bar in October 2025, after some eight years experience as a solicitor.  He  practises in New South Wales and Queensland, maintaining a broad practice, including in planning, environmental, energy and resources, local government, Native Title, and administrative law.
 
In the last three and a half years before call, Tarquin worked in Sydney for two national firms and finally a specialist boutique in all aspects of development, planning and local government law, acting for development proponents, the New South Wales State Government, and local councils.
 

Tarquin's career began in Brisbane, the first five years of which were spent as a civil service lawyer acting for State Government agencies in administrative law, Native Title, environmental prosecutions, and other public law litigation. 
 

Prior to university, Tarquin briefly served in the Royal Australian Air Force, undergoing training at R.A.A.F. Officers Training School.  Before admission as a solicitor, he worked for a retired High Court judge.
 
Tarquin also has a keen interest in heraldry, especially the esoteric Law that governs that topic in Australia.  He is a Vice-President of the Australian Heraldry Society.  Tarquin also volunteers as the State Governance and Assurance Lead for St John Ambulance Queensland.
